#29 ROUGH EDIT finished

After a lot of planning we went out and created our rough edit. However, due to some minor issues, we were unable to create our origional storyline. So we changed it slightly, and instead we had The Dad and The mother who were together but they argue a lot. The little girl doesn't like the mother, so always spooks around her. The dad however, can be seen by the audience to be either about to do something to the girl, or the woman, but the audience does not know, so they are left on a cliff hanger.

We would like to add some more bits to our film, so make it more thrilling.

#28 Rough edit processes

Here is a screen shot of how our ROUGH EDIT was made. We had many, many shots that we did not use, however, possibly for our REAL film we may use some of them in a different way. It was really successful however, we may need to siwtch bits around to make it look not so trailer like.

#27 Props and Costume

  • In order to create our film, we will be needing 5 dolls, which will be the little girls.
  • We will also need tools such as a hammer, a screw driver, scissors, a saw, a knife etc

  • We would like to create as much eeriness as we can, so we have thought about the costume carefully.

    Mr Peck -
We will have Mr Peck wearing all black. Most likely black jeans and a black shirt from the start, and throughout the rest we will have him in a black T-shirt with his black jeans. This will represtent the evil personality of the character he will be playing.

    Jay -
We will have Jay wearing a red dress at the beginning, with her hair curled, looking all done up. We will then have her dressed well - not all done up, but probably with her hair done up in a bun, wearing something which indicated purity - ie a white top or blue to represent calm.

    Jenny -
We will have Jenny wearing a plain dress or a plain T-shirt with subtle trousers. Jenny's costume won't represent much to her character. For the end scene, we will have Jenny dressed up as a china doll, with her hair in bunches, face-paint or make-up on her face to create effect, and a doll-like dress on with shiney shoes.

    #26 Casting our Film

For our film, we have chosen people to fit the characters. The dad will be Mr Peck, as we feel that he fits the spooky character best!: The dad's daughter is Jenny as she is very young and sweet: The woman is Jordon: And we will have little dolls for our props.

    Here is the plan :

    Parts with Jenny - pink
    Parts with Jay - red
Parts with Mr Peck - Green
Parts with all three - Black

    Firstly -

All meet at Hopeman House - in less done up costume.

Then shots of Mr Peck taking each of the dolls away, (separate shots). - Each doll that comes away, we
put up names of cast/names of directors/cameramen.

Shoot scene with Jenny and Mr Peck - taking dolly away.

Then Jenny saying 'Daddy, where have all my dollies gone?'

Then we will film Mr Peck taking the doll apart in Emma's room.

Then Jay waking up with doll next to her head. Scream.

Get Jenny dressed up and then shoot her scene with Jay.

    Secondly -

Go to the South Lawn, by the path. Film Jenny walking past Jay with Doll in her bag.

Jay put on dress - dressed up for the beginning shot.

    Finished with Jenny.

    Thirdly -

Go to the dance studio, film Mr Peck walking away from Jay - they are dressed up.

    Finished with cast.

    Costumes-

Jenny - Colored trousers(plain) - if possible, with plain white shirt. Any shoes. Also, bring a dress up dress with two hair bobbles. Jenny will be dressing up as a doll towards the end. But arrive wearing the casual outfit.

Jay - costume 1 - Black jeans or leggings - boots of any kind - long green jacket - any jumper underneath.
costume 2 - any dress - lots of make up - hair done up - like on a night out

Mr Peck - costume 1 - Black T-shirt and black jeans
costume 2 - suit and tie ( any will do ) , like your going out to dinner with your lover!

#25 Risk assessment for our film

Whilst filming, we may come across many risks, so in order to prevent them from happening, we will follow the following rules.

    OUTSIDE
    - In order to not drop the camera on the girls head we will ensure to hold it securely.
    - We may fall on either down/up the stairs, so we will be careful.
    - If someone gets  hurt we will seek for help immediately.
    - We will make sure that no one who does not want to  be filmed in the background is not.

    INSIDE
We will be filming in three bedrooms, Olivia's, Jemma's, and Mine. In order for anyone to not get their fingers trapped in a door, or bang their head on a shelf, we will,l be careful and aware of these dangers.

When the man is in my room taking apart the dolls with weapons, we will make sure that he is a responsible and old enough to be responsible over them.

In the drama department we will assure the no one gets hurt by the amount of technical equipment around the place.

#24 Planning the locations for our film

We have emailed all the staff we need to email to have permission to use locations that we wanted.
